In terms of variety, every golfer’s bank account can vary just as much as their golf swings.
Some budgets have room to upgrade every year to the newest models, and others make due with what they’ve always played with. I try to make room for new clubs every few years, but I also work to make the most of what I own by trading in, or hitting up ebay (to buy and sell).
If you’ve been following my articles this year on the latest and greatest offerings from Titleist to Adams, you know that it’s possible to break the bank with just one purchase.
On the other hand, you can get burned if you try your hand on used clubs, because you’re never really sure how well the previous owner took care of his/her sticks (insert Happy Gilmore putter throw here).
As much as ebay can offer the best in pricing, there is always the chance that you will not be receiving genuine merchandise.
So, when you factor in all of these options, and your hard earned dollar always remember that it is not the brand name on the club, shoes, glove or ball, but how they affect your game on the course.
